Let the countdown begin

It seems like this pregnancy has flown by. I guess with the 2nd pregnancy (or thereafter)you have your other child to take your focus off of every little thing. I went to the doctor Friday and saw Dr. Wood. I am dilated 1 cm and 50% effaced. I have been having some contractions also. The contractions are all new to me because I didn't have them really with Drew. A bit of tightness with Drew, but nothing I would say was a true contraction. Dr. Wood said usually you feel more with the 2nd and things progress a little faster. We'll see. We got a picture of his face. He was waving to us Friday. It was so sweet. His hand was in front of his face for a while then he waved his fingers and moved them out of the way. Drew was so so excited to see Cameron. He has been to a lot of my appointments and knows the doctor office when we pull in. I keep one of Cameron's ultrasound pictures on my visor in my car. Today, Drew had to have my visor down the whole time we were in the car so he could see Cameron. I know he is going to be a great big brother!

Anyway, I go back Thursday to see Dr. Moffett. I hope he will give me an answer as to the 38 week inducement that he has discussed a few times with me. This was because of Drew being so big. It's not a big deal one way or the other, but I will have to say being induced with Drew was nice. Like I said I didn't have any real contractions with him. They started the inducement and in came the epidural a few minutes later. I would not complain for that type of labor again. :-)

Let the nesting begin.....

Yes, let the nesting officially begin. I have got it bad. :-) We finally finished our bedroom this past weekend. (well almost) We have our old furniture out and new furniture in. Dad came over last week and helped us by hanging the new blinds and curtain rods. He even hung my curtains! You can tell he has lived with Pam Wallace for many years, huh? He was even telling me that I needed a pull back for one of the curtains. Thanks Dad! I have to say that we are loving our new mattress. We didn't realize how bad our old one was until we had the new one. I will have to take some pictures and post them the next time. It really looks good.

After my doctor's appointment today, Brad & I went to Lowe's and bought the paint for the outside of the house. It needs painted badly. We have been planning on doing this for about a year now and well you know how it goes. We will take a little bit each evening this week and finish it up this weekend. Then my priority is to finish rearranging the boys' room and cleaning out closets. I need 48 hours in a day instead of 24. It will all get done, if not, Cameron will still come and all will be fine.

My doctor appointment went well. I saw Dr. Helms today. It is always short and sweet with him. Cameron is still head down. I have really been thinking that this baby is going to be bigger than Drew. It's hard to explain, but I can tell when I bend down/over. There isn't much room for movement. He wanted to know how big Drew was so I told him (9 lbs 5 oz 22 1/2 inches). He said usually a Mom knows so he would see. I measured 36 weeks and will be 34 weeks tomorrow. He wanted to look and see if I had any extra fluid causing the larger measurement. He looked and said no extra fluids, just all baby in there. So we will see. He said that maybe the baby just had an early growth spurt and would slow down a little. Yeah!! I appreciate the encouragement, but I know I just grow them big. I imagine they will decide to induce me early like they had planned. Afterwards, I met my 3rd grade team for dinner. Everyone surprised me and brought me diapers. What a nice surprise it was! It was a great ladies night out. I always enjoy my time at school or away with my team.

Oh...I wanted to post some cute pictures. After we finished the room Saturday, we went back to Blizzard Beach. Drew kept saying he wanted to swim so we went back. It took a lot of twisting my arm to get me to spend a couple of hours in the sun let me tell you! We had a wonderful time! I wonder if Brad will try to talk me into it again this weekend? Hmmmm........

Fun in the Sun

Somehow Brad talked me into going to Blizzard Beach Sunday afternoon. He has a way about doing that. We bought season passes the beginning of last summer and we thought we would try to use them a couple of times before Cameron arrives. Anyway, I left my house, a complete disaster, along with new bedroom furniture, mattress, etc. throughout the house. We had a really good time. It was a gorgeous afternoon. I caught a few rays and some Vitamin D which makes me a happy woman. Drew had a really good time. We left the house and forgot his pool toys. It seemed like every little boy and girl in the kids section had a toy. So, after we refilled our drink I walked into one of the little booths to see what they had. I bought Drew a basket that had some toys in it. He was so excited about it. We were walking back to meet Daddy and he looked at me and said, "I happy." I asked him what he said and he said it again. It just melted my heart. I felt so bad that we forgot his toys. Brad is trying to talk me into going again this weekend. It will be hard to tell him no, but I think I have too much "nesting" to do this weekend.

Brad & Drew have been helping Ga plant the summer garden the past couple of nights while I work on taxes. Brad's Papa has lung cancer and isn't feeling up to doing his usual things right now. Drew told me he was "farming" outside so I thought I would take a break and get a couple of pictures. He is such a hoot!

Ewwwwww!!

My Drew is so funny. Well I guess I should say both of my boys are. Whenever something stinks or is gross Drew lets out this big LOUD, "EWWWWWW." He's got the cutest little voice when he does it. He even does it and covers his face up with his shirt when he has a dirty diaper. I guess it is one of those things that is cuter at home. Well, I guess we experienced one of our first "want to crawl under the table" moments the other night. We went to our new favorite Mexican restaurant which is not formal, but a little upscale. I guess a good comparision would be Bonefish or something like that. We were there Friday early evening. It wasn't too crowded yet and everything was pretty quite. Drew grabbed a napkin to wipe his face and let out this loud, "EWWWWWWWWWW" and proceeded to do it a few more times. We got a few stares and a few laughs. I'm sure that won't be the last. My boy!! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Also, Brad & I went today for mine & Cameron's 32 week check-in. Everything looked wonderful. I have a picture I am posting, but it wasn't the greatest. It is of his face. Dr. Moffett tried hard to get me a good picture, but Cameron wanted to put his hand over his face and left eye. It's not the best, but I was excited about it since it had been quite a while since they printed out a picture. I go back 2 weeks from today then it starts every week. I can't believe we are getting close. I must say I am so blessed to have Brad join me at every appointment. Mom asked me on the way home if Brad had ever missed an appointment. I thought about it and no he hasn't. He has been with me to every appointment with Cameron and Drew. I know I am a little bias, but he is the best! I love you babe!
