New Things

There are so many new things that Drew seems to be doing lately. Also, he has many new interests. I thought I'd make a list to share with everyone.

  • loves Curious George or "George" has he says
  • loves watching squirrels at Ya-ya's house (there is no "s" at the beginning of the word when he says it)
  • could eat yogurt 24/7
  • says "don't" all the time now
  • loves big kisses and tight hugs.
  • likes to say AMEN after a blessing or a prayer. likes to squint his eyes and hold our hands.
  • loves a HOT bath. I have to sneak my hand up and turn it cooler, but it doesn't take him long to discover what I did.
  • Everything is "cool".
  • enjoys Daddy Day on Friday. They usually go to Wal-mart, McDonalds, and the Park.
  • loves Ya-ya Thursdays.
  • loves the slide that Papa built the boys.
  • likes a "coke" out of Papa's refrigerator.
  • enjoys his time with Alma & Chloe at Grandma D's.
  • likes to get up about 6:30 on the weekend and get in Mommy and Daddy's bed to fall back to sleep. When he wakes up he pokes me until I get up.
  • Likes to sleep with "hippy" between his legs.
  • LOVES Raleigh and Hudson. He brings their pictures to me all the time...especially when we watch Raleigh's favorite Backyardigan episode.
  • calls Papa Robert "Pops" now.
  • likes to turn Mommy and Daddy's fan off to tell us its time to get up.
  • is obsessed with the John Deere.
  • can crank any car and put it into gear............we have to hide keys!
  • likes going out to the mailbox.
  • loves the water hose.
  • likes feeding Tiger, our cat.
  • loves pulling himself up to the washer, looking out the window, and watching Ga work in the yard. He yells "Ga".
  • loves tootsie rolls from Papa Tommy.
  • loves GiGi and Pappap AND their pool.
  • loves to go into Publix for the cookie and the cool Nascar buggie.

I could go on and on about my little boy, but I will stop there for now. We can't wait for the next one.

And baby makes four...

Today, we had our first appointment with Dr. Moffett. I'm so glad to have that over. Everything was great!! As most of you probably know, I have been to a "first appointment" where the doctor doesn't even have to say anything...you know that you are going to miscarry. The devil loves to bring back those vivid memories. Although I know that God has a plan for every little thing in my life, I still couldn't help but to have those little thoughts in the back of my mine. One morning this week while I was getting ready for work, the Lord quickly reminded me that he was in control and to let go..........and so I did.

The baby looks great. I'm posting a picture of my new little precious because I'm so proud of it. She is measuring right on target with a due date of April 28. Before we even started, Dr. Moffett looked at my file and asked me, "did you really have a 9 lb. 5 oz. baby?" (Dr. Wood delivered Drew) I said, "yes, I did." He said he wouldn't do that to me again. He said he would send me right across the street (LRMC) for an induction at 38 weeks. He said it was no fun for him delivering that big of a baby and it wasn't good for me or the baby. I told him I had no problems and had an awesome delivery with Drew. No pain whatsoever. He still insisted on inducing at 38 weeks. That will make delivery around the middle of April if all goes as planned. I totally forgot during my appointment, but they discovered Drew had torticolis a few weeks after he was born. Basically, that is when the baby is crammed in a position in the womb and they lose muscle strength on one side of their neck because of not being able to move the head freely. He had to go to therapy for several months. I will have to tell him that next time.

Until next time........

To the Park We Go!

Today, I had a change in plans with an accounting client so as soon as I got home from school it was off to the park for Drew & I. Daddy also met us after work. He loves the park so much. He just loves being outside anywhere! He is getting to where he says "cheese" now. It is so cute.

Also, our nursery has a dumpster behind Robert & Deadre's and we all put our trash in it. We usually go for a walk at night and haul the garbage up in Drew's wagon. He has to put every piece in the dumpster himself. Then it is back by the barn for a lawnmower ride. He won't let you forget!

Stopping to take a breath!

Well, we've been very busy lately as you can tell from very little posts lately. I've been settling into the school year and getting things in order. The beginning of the year will always be crazy, but I'm promising Brad (and myself) I will settle into a routine with it in the next week or two.

We had a busy weekend. We were home just enough to eat and sleep......literally. Saturday was the Gator game. It was fun. Some of the people we go with had 2 extra tickets at the last minute so I made a quick phone call to Les to see if she or Bryan wanted to take Raleigh. After much convincing, Leslie decided to bring Raleigh and meet us. I'm so glad she did and she was too. Raleigh did great. Well, I could go on and on, but I won't spoil her post. She has some cute pictures to share and stories to tell of our day. Sunday, we went to Blizzard Beach again. Brad & I had fun just watching Drew enjoy himself. He even went on a bigger kid slide with his own intertube. I was so nervous. I was getting into the "pool" where the lifeguard stands. The lifeguard had to tell me to step back and he would grab him. :-) That is the "hovering" Mom coming out again. It was so cute seeing him come around the corner of the slide. Aferwards, I had big plans of Brad taking me to the mall. I haven't been in a while and really was looking forward to it. After a prior stop, I told Brad I think we can skip the mall. I was so tired! I have to remind myself sometimes that "oh, yeah...I'm pregnant." I was talking to Mom while Brad made another stop at Golfsmith. She said, "Jen, aren't you tired baby?....you really need to rest some". But, then she said ....."I know... you don't rest much". This is very true. I came home and crashed with Drew as we cuddled in our bed. :-) To top off our weekend, Monday was a yummy BBQ at Leslie's.

That was our Labor Day weekend! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
