The Christmas season was lots of fun this year with our sweet Drew. We enjoyed baking cookies, dinners with family and friends, and a trip to Disney World (thanks to Aunt Terrie). Drew enjoyed it as much as a almost 1 year old can. We celebrated an early birthday with Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, and most importantly Pooh at the Grand Floridian. Breakfast was great and Drew really enjoyed Pooh. The look in his eyes was priceless. It seemed as if he was trying to figure out how his small stuffed Pooh got to be so big. We enjoyed the lights at MGM that evening as well. He was such a trooper.
Christmas Day was lots of fun. Over the course of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we made Drew open more gifts that you can imagine. Thanks to cousins Raleigh and Chloe for helping him out here and there. He, of course, enjoyed the paper much more than what presents were inside. He found amusement in taking each section of paper he ripped from the packages and shredding it into tiny pieces. Christmas is much more fun with a little one of your own. We are thankful for such a great little boy.
Drew is enjoying Mommy being home this week and next almost as much as I am. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our new nephew/cousin, Hudson Grey Lutz. He is being awfully shy. He is scheduled to arrive January 1st unless we can talk him into something different. We think he is holding out to make his appearance on Drew's 1st birthday, December 29th so they can share the special day together. We will quickly have to switch our birthday party game plan, but it will be worth it.
We will keep you posted!

Jennifer,
It is bittersweet seeing them grow up, you almost feel like you are loosing a little one, when they grow and change so quickly. The tiny wee babe, grows into an active, adventerous toddler. Then the toddler changes into a curious, daring pre-schooler........ each change, you leave behind a child you love and adore.
Drew sounds like he is a healthy, happy little guy, who enrichs everyone life he touches.
God bless you all,
Robin/Halo.
