Brad and I both have grandparents that are battling cancer right now. Most of you are aware, but my grandmother has stomach cancer that has spread to her ovaries. It was in remission for about 2 years. They removed the ovaries about 7 weeks ago and she begins chemo tomorrow morning. She has been feeling good, but started Friday vomitting and not eating much again. I don't think she can stand to lose any more weight. My grandfather also fell (AGAIN) this past weekend and has fractured his leg (AGAIN). My mother and aunts have been staying with my grandparents around the clock since Friday night. I know my Mom is upset and worn out as I am sure my aunts are. Please remember them also.
Also, we just found out last week that Brad's Papa (grandfather) has lung cancer. He goes tomorrow to find out the results from his PET scan from Thursday to see where it is at, etc. The doctors have said that he would not survive surgery with as weak as his lungs are. Chemo/Radiation will have to be used. Brad's grandparents are very active for their age (late 80's). It will just kill everyone to see this slow them down.
We are praying for a healing for both!

Oh Jen, prayers are coming their way. God bless them all. Talked with Mary last week, and know she is stressed and worried. Did not know Bob fell again, how terrible.

I heard about Brad (& Dan's) Papa last week & I am so sorry to hear about your grandma & grandpa. I did not know all that was going on. I know firsthand how hard it is to be so happy about bringing a new life into this world while your loved ones are suffering with cancer. You will ALL be in my prayers! God Bless ~ Heather

I have been out of the loop with my computer down, but we are praying. When I say Papa Tommy yesterday out getting the garden ready, it impressed me. Strength my friend. You have an amazing family that has never curled up in a corner and cowarded from anything, we stand with you in this time too.
