What's going on?

Yes, we are still alive. Things have been so busy with us with the school year wrapping up. Meetings, school play, and lots of paperwork! I have a cold and very little voice right now as proof of my fast lane life. I can hardly believe that I only have 2 1/2 days left with my students. Wow, how fast the year flew by! I wasn't sure how I would feel at the end of the year. I knew I would be excited, but it really doesn't seem like a reality that I am fixing to have a little over 2 months off. Also, as I was thinking a month or so ago, I didn't imagine I would really be sad about saying goodbye to my students. But, today I realized I am going to miss those little bugggers. They have become very clingy this week. Who knows....maybe I will have a few of them next year in 3rd grade.

Drew is 17 months today and is adding to his vocabulary. He is trying to say more words everyday. Today he started laughing this crazy "I can't get my breath" laugh with Mom. Who knows where he comes up with this stuff? Also, he started saying "umm" today. He just stares at me and acts like he wants to say something then says "Umm........" and then speaks in Drew language. He did it several times tonight and of course I thought it was the cutest thing. I had to give him more kisses. He also started wanting to put his own shoes on today. He does a pretty good job with a little help from Mommy.

Brad & I are counting down to our trip to Vegas. We are leaving on the June 9th. Brad & I are missing Drew already, but have come to terms that it would not be a good idea to take Drew on a 4 1/2 hour plane ride with a 3 hour time difference. 110 degree heat and try to expect the little guy to have a good time in just 5 short days. He is just still too little. Poor little guy, but we are looking forward to getting away just the 2 of us and celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary.

I have lots of pictures to post of the past couple of weeks, but better sign off before it gets any later. My kids will be waking me up tomorrow!
