Well, I decided to post a few pictures of my classroom since I wanted Leslie to see my finished product and.......most of you guys haven't seen my room. I love it. I added a lamp on my desk this morning and it feels so cozy. I had one teacher said it made it feel like home. I also added a lamp ring and some lamp oil (stress relief from Bath & Body) to combat that afternoon sweat from P.E. Thanks Les for the idea!! I bought way to many air freshners last year that lost their sent after a few days.
We had open house this morning. I was very pleased. Looks like I have a great group. I have 3 that I had last year (they were excited). One little girl even found out where I lived over the summer and proceeded to tell me that my husband was in the yard last night with an orange shirt on. Her Mom just laughed and said I was going to call the police for stalking. Her mom said moved to Summerfield over the summer and can see my house from 301 on their way home in the evenings. :-) That was cute I thought. I'm sure I'll have a visitor before its all over. She is not shy. I had many kids come by for a hug today. It was so amazing how much they grew over the summer. I hope I trained them well for 3rd grade. I'm sure they will do great.

I must say those polka dots have taken my breath away! That was my favorite part of teaching...decortaing for the new year. Putting all their names neatly on everything....oh, it does make me miss it! Have a wonderful year. Love ya
