I was so excited to post pictures of my room, I forgot to mention the polka dots. I have to give props where props are due. The polka dots are hand-me-downs. Gasp!! Yes, I know. Leslie gave me her polka dots from last year since she did new polka dots this year (see her blog). At the beginning of last year, she told me the question she posed to her students about all the posters and things over the walls. Her students said they couldn't remember much of what was on those posters that make you cross eyed all day. So, I was excited. Last year, I did primary color polka dots. Everything in my room was red, blue, yellow and green. My kids loved it. So this year I wanted a change since I would have a little bit older group and possibly some of the same students, so of course, Leslie came to the rescue by giving me all her old decorations and making new ones for herself. She is good like that!
I also have to say that I wouldn't have surived my first year without her. As soon as she found out I had the job, she came down and help me get set up, told me what I needed to know, and helped me sort through my Teacher editions. I was on the phone with her every morning on the way to school and almost every afternoon on the way home. It is so nice to be able to share your day with someone who understands and can give you another opinion or insight. She really is a great teacher and I love her dearly. I have to brag on her and say that she was the most requested teacher at her school this year. She even had a little boy bring her a rose at open house. I'm so very proud of my sister!
Love you!

Love the classroom. It does look so inviting. I am not surprised by your sisters success (and yours too!), there is something to say for loving your job and doing it well. Maybe I will see you around there once in a while...I told Jeanine I would come volunteer a little.
You didn't have to give me props. I am so proud of you. You are so calm and have everything so together. You are much more prepared than me. I will be a basket case tomorrow. Good luck.
Love you
Your classroom looks great! I am sure the kids will love it! You are such a great teacher and I just love how you let God work out all the details to get you into that classroom! You seem to have found right where you need to be in life!
love you and I hope your first day with kids was great!
