It's a Boy!

Well folks, we are having another boy. Yippee! We are very excited. A girl would have been nice just to have one of each, but we are quite fond of our boys. I will be the only female in the house (including our spoiled dog and an outside cat) so I told Brad I guess that officially makes me the queen. He laughed! We did the 20 week ultrasound today. Everything looked great! He is measuring right on target. The lady said it was a textbook ultrasound. I loved hearing that! He was flipping all around, kicking, stretching, and putting his hands on his face. So, so cute. We got a great profile shot. The tech said it looked like he is going to have full lips or maybe he was just pouting. I don't know, but it sure was cute. We don't have a name yet. I can't stand it. We have been throwing around a million names and none seem to stick yet like Drew Thomas. We have plenty of time, but I just want to put a name to this little bump. It will come.

That's the good news...................also today Dad got a call from his surgeon's office saying that they would have to postpone his surgery. Amongst all the pre-op tests they did Monday, they discovered he is a carrier for Mersa. You know the BAD bacteria. He doesn't have it, but with his immune system being compromised with the open heart surgery, they are afraid that a staph infection could develop in his sternum area if this isn't taken care of. That of course is not good. So he is on antibiotic for 5 days off for 7 then test again on the 15th for the Mersa. If all is clear....then the surgery will take place. I am very thankful they found this and so is Dad. It is just the wait for him. Just pray it only takes one round of antibiotics and we can get this taken care of by Christmas.
